…or maybe about it!
Food product packaging. Shrink wrapped, foil packed, film sealed, vacuum packed, sealed bags, boxed – there’s so many ways that food products can be packaged. The type of packaging that is to be used depends on the food stuff to be packaged, its shelf life, even how it fits in to the brand. Some products, such as cereals, are double packaged with a sealed bag of dried goods inside a box.
Packaging is not as simple as it sounds. Companies are now looking towards more environmentally friendly forms of food product packaging, as well as cutting down on the amount of packaging that’s used. However, companies will still need a certain amount of packaging that protects the food products during transportation, as well during storage in warehouses, or on the shop shelves.
The change in packaging means that food processing companies will need new machinery to meet the changes in their production line processes. This is where CH Barnett can step in. With decades of experience in the manufacture of stainless steel fabrications and assemblies for food production companies, we are able to work with food packaging companies to design and build bespoke assemblies for a number of processes, including those that make the packaging, or those that add the food stuff to the packaging.
We have in-depth knowledge of the standards and Codes of Practice, such as the European Hygiene and Design Group Guidelines, that companies involved in food preparation and packaging need to comply with. Providing an excellent corrosion resistance and a clean and sanitary finish, we only use food grade stainless steel for all of our components and assemblies destined for the food industry.
